Rockets Hire Adelman...Astros Struggling

Obviously, Rockets owner Les Alexander and new general manager Daryl Morey don't read this fantastic blog. That's their first mistake. Their second mistake, hiring Rick Adelman. Congratulations, guys...Rockets fans probably feel like they just got a root canal. Personally, I've never had one, but from what I hear, root canals are no fun.

Adelman resembles Santa Claus more than a basketball coach. Guess what, it's not Christmas. Maybe Rick shouldn't have taken a year off, that way he wouldn't have been available for the Rockets. Why am I blasting on Adelman? It's not his fault he said yes. I'm sure Les Alexander can be a very imposing figure while throwing millions of dollars into your bank account. If Rick gets T-Mac and Yao to that elusive second playoff round, I'll get into the ring with an Orangutan....maybe.

My problem: I KNOW there's someone out there that's a better fit for Houston. Instead of sticking their necks out and taking a chance, Houston's big whigs stuck their heads in the sand. On a brighter note, NFL training camp is just two months away!

Is it me or did I jinx the Astros? I take full responsibility for their bats going quiet. Even I know the ump blew a call at third base that should've ended the inning during Saturday's rally, but Houston needed a break. Besides that six run output against the Strangers...Houston's been AWFUL at the plate. I rarely turn off a game, but I actually changed the channel Sunday. 14-1!!! Six home runs!!

Texas had one of the worst bullpens and depleted pitching staff before the series began. If your team's struggling and looking to build momentum, the Astros are here to help your team. I've seen what Houston can do and it makes me frustrated to watch them struggle. Oh, yeah---getting shutout 4-0 by San Francisco isn't a good start.
