TV weather department changes in Houston

Whether you loved or hated former KPRC Local 2 morning weather guy, Byron Miranda, he now has an official replacement. Mike McDaniel has the story:
Eric Braate, a former meteorologist for the Fox station in Milwaukee, has joined Channel 2 and will make his first appearances this weekend.
McDaniel says Braate fills the vacancy left by Byron Miranda, but if he is appearing weekends that is not entirely true. I don't know if that statement means he's filling an empty weather slot or he will actually be on the weekday morning show. I probably won't lose too much sleep thinking about it.

And in other news, the Insite responds to my plea about Ken Hoffman's weather tease:
Morning weather guy Mike Iscovitz announced what we all have known for some time behind the scenes at FOX 26 - that he's moving to the 9pm show. He's very happy about the move that will give him a break from waking up at 2am. And chief meteorologist Cecilia Sinclair is moving to the morning show...
The real question, does all of this mean we will have a calm hurricane season again? CONTACT: Leave me a Houston or Texas media news tip | COMMENT: Click to leave your thoughts on this post here
