I don't run things in local TV newsrooms, but ...Hoffman can be such a tease. This is a wild guess, but is KRIV's Cecilia Sinclair moving to the morning show or something?
If Channel 11 still is looking for a replacement for departed superstar anchor Lisa Foronda, I'd hire Carol Lin from CNN. Lin recently left the CNN anchor desk because they wanted to make her a roving national reporter. Lin is a single mom and doesn't want to spend life on the road.Lin is a terrific, poised, credible anchor who can handle the toughest hard-news story and the silliest feature. She has a national reputation.
She was at the CNN anchor desk when 9/11 happened and turned in a magnificent job that entire day. Plus, when you're an anchor at Channel 11, you don't have to do any reporting, so the workload would fit perfectly into Lin's schedule.
