Here is some REAL behind-the-scenes stuff for you media watchers, election night at the Harris County Clerk's office! Basically all of the media staffers who input election results sit in a big conference room. Some of us input the data into laptops that go directly on air, others call it back to the station or newspaper by phone.Beverly Kaufman and her staff are very nice and even provide food. The KTRK crew went over to our usual Subway restaurant on Main Street and the oddest thing happened - we got locked in. Seems they ran out of bread and had to shut down the store after our order because of this. It was odd.
