The wife and I hit the Houston Galleria last Thursday before the Sales Tax Holiday to get the discounts and avoid the crowds. We stumbled upon the area in Galleria II where Lord and Taylor's used to be. Instead of a wall, we found the new wing. The friendly Galleria security told me they had just torn the wall down over the weekend.Eventually a Border's Bookstore will be there. Currently you can find J. Crew (already open for business) and the Kona Grill which opens August 9th. There is an escalator in the background that take you to a relatively empty second floor too.
