Smashing Pumpkins begin recording new album

Billy Corgan fans - when he had hair - rejoice! Today is the greatest day that you have ever known as you find out that the Smashing Pumpkins are in the studio recording an album according to Blabbermouth:

SMASHING PUMPKINS have entered a studio with producer Roy Thomas Baker to record their first album since 1999, according to a new post on the band's web site. Baker produced QUEEN's "A Night at the Opera", which included their classic "Bohemian Rhapsody", and also has THE CARS, JOURNEY and CHEAP TRICK on his lengthy résumé.
