Stories had been rife that Slash, real name Saul Hudson, would play with the band at their recent New York shows, reports Blabbermouth.net.However, the guitarist told MTV.com: "I don't know where [the rumors come] from, but I haven't dealt with Guns N' Roses any more than I have in the last 10 years," which is not much at all. So it's not really a thing with me. I have, in the foreseeable future, no re-involvement with that band whatsoever."
Velvet Revolver is in the studio recording the follow up to their 2004 album "Contraband." The new album is called "Libertad" and the band hopes to get it out before the end of the year. I'm sure they would like to release it before or right around the expected 2006 release of GNR's "Chinese Democracy."
If you are a music geek, then you will also love to read an interview conducted with Slash's guitar tech Adam Day (also from Ultimate-Guitar.com). Day talks about Duff McKagan's and Dave Kushner's set up too. CONTACT: Leave me a Houston or Texas media news tip | COMMENT: Click to leave your thoughts on this post here
