I will probably be the only person who will find this funny.
Everyone at my work likes to go out for lunch and we try to look for cool new restaurants. We work in West U., so there are plenty of good places in every direction.
So I thought I could really screw with people if I said, "I've go this great new place we MUST try."
Then I drive them to some office park and take them to the food court. You know the ones that have some generic sandwich shop or franchise made for just the corporate world.
It reminds me of some bad Seinfeld character:
Elaine: Hey, I'm going out with Tony.
Jerry: Oh not him.
George: I don't like him.
Jerry: Isn't he the guy who likes to only eat at office parks for lunch?
George: [getting angry] Who wants to eat at office parks, when there are all of these great restaurants around?
Kramer: [slides in through the door] Are you talking about Tony?
George: Yeah
Kramer: He took me out for lunch and I got a REALLY good sandwich at the Empire State Building! [shaking his head for crazy effect]
Elaine: Yeah anyway, we're going out tonight at eight.
I came up with this idea after drinking some Asian pear sake and it seemed funnier then.
