More Guns N' Roses news plus Alice In Chains reforming

What is this - 1992 all over again? Guns N' Roses have announced they're playing at the Download Festival this summer with Metallica. Then Alice in Chains is getting back together even though lead singer Layne Staley is no longer of this world unfortunately.

New Guns N' Roses song leaks have been occurring so much the dam must be about to break and we'll actually have the new Chinese Democracy album soon. Lot's of theories as to what's going on have been going around the Internet as well as the new tracks "Better", "There was a Time", and "IRS".

The reclusive Axl Rose has also been appearing in public. Although I don't believe the rumor that the original Guns N' Roses lineup is getting back together for a show.

In grungier news, Alice in Chains are reforming although lead guitarist Jerry Cantrell won't say who the new lead singer is.

Is the music scene about to get better? I can just imagine most of my readers thinking I'm nuts right now. To remind you I am nuts, Motley Crue has a new album coming out so the answer is yes, music is getting better. Metallica is recording a new album with Rick Rubin too. That should be more interesting than Bob Rock's Metallica at this point. CONTACT: Leave me a Houston or Texas media news tip | COMMENT: Click to leave your thoughts on this post here
