It's time to unionize. OK not so fast.
Dwight Silverman's post about a local blog critic seemed to resonate with a lot of folks. Then Laurence's follow up about a Houston blogger directory has merit too.
I think because of the name alone, blogHOUSTON could be a good place to host a hub like Laurence is talking about. I'm sure Kevin, Anne and the gang like me creating more work for them - especially since they are currently busy developing a podcast.
Should the MSM be involved in the hub? Not sure about that. The first issue that comes to mind is possible viewer complaints. If an MSM site links to a group of blogs and some of those blogs have questionable content, the MSM site will probably get heat for it. An unfortunate situation but it is a possibility.
I'll think about this some more...
