CBS Radio Suing Howard Stern, plus replacement & KIKK news

Looks like all that Howard Stern Sirius (or Eh-Eh-Eh) talk made CBS Radio (formerly Infinity) angry. Now they are suing the King of All Media. Sirius is named in the lawsuit too.

No wonder the company is angry. The New York Daily News has some bad news about Stern's replacements:
In the year's least surprising radio development, morning host David Lee Roth's early ratings at WFNY (92.3 FM) have taken a steep drop from the heights of his predecessor, Howard Stern.

WFNY's parent CBS says this is a valley it expected to enter while it rebuilds former Stern slots and stations, though some people in radio warn that it could signal a more serious problem.

As for the Houston airwaves, 650 KIKK-AM which used to run Stern locally and now airs CNN Headline News has recently acquired the Jim Cramer show of Mad Money fame. So is the station going back to the business format? What does this mean for Biz Radio 1320 KXYZ?

So much is up in the air right now. CONTACT: Leave me a Houston or Texas media news tip | COMMENT: Click to leave your thoughts on this post here
