KENS 5 San Antonio where love is in the air

Love is in the air at KENS 5 San Antonio, where two staffers are celebrating a recent engagement.

Digital Executive Producer David Lynch popped the question to anchor Alicia Neaves this week at San Antonio’s iconic “Tree of Life” by Mission Espada, and she said yes.

Apparently, there are other KENS couples that have met at the station and started a life together.

Neaves returned to KENS 5 in 2021 as a weekend anchor and reporter, marking a homecoming for the San Antonio native. She previously worked at the station from 2015 to 2017 before leaving for an anchor role at KENS 5's TEGNA sister station, WLTX Columbia, South Carolina.

Earlier in her career, Neaves worked as a bilingual reporter at NewsWest 9 KWES in Midland-Odessa, covering the border. A graduate of the University of Evansville in Indiana, she began her TV news career in 2011 at News 4 San Antonio WOAI.

Lynch is a Digital Executive Producer at KENS 5, where he helps manage the station’s online projects. He joined the station in October 2018 after working as a digital producer at KOB 4 in Albuquerque. Lynch is a graduate of the University of New Mexico.
