Allison Gargaro will return to her meteorologist duties at FOX 26 Houston KRIV on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, following maternity leave.
Gargaro welcomed her daughter, Chloe, on September 10.
With Gargaro’s return, freelance weather anchor Peyton Galyean’s stint at FOX 26 is coming to an end.
Galyean has three semesters remaining at the University of Oklahoma, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology.
She previously worked as a freelance meteorologist at KOKH FOX 25 in Oklahoma City.
Before that, Galyean served as a digital meteorologist with The Weather Company, contributing to online weather coverage and storytelling, and completed a Weather & Climate internship at CNN in Atlanta. Her experience also includes anchoring forecasts for OU Nightly, the University of Oklahoma’s student-run newscast, along with internships at KOCO 5 in Oklahoma City and HailTrace.
