Univision 41 San Antonio, KWEX, celebrated its 70th anniversary on March 18, 2025, as the first Spanish-language television station in the United States.
The event was attended by prominent figures who have shaped and continue to shape the network's history, as well as local leaders who recognized the positive impact the channel has had on the city's Hispanic community.
KWEX was originally signed on by radio and television Spanish language pioneer Raoul Cortez as KCOR-TV Channel 41.
