DeAnna Giles is the new KLTV 7 and KTRE Tyler "Good Morning East Texas" co-anchor with Lane Luckie as of February 2025.
She takes over for Victoria Lara who left in December 2024.
Giles comes from Gray's sister station, WILX News 10 Lansing, Michigan, where she was a weekend anchor/reporter for two years.
Before her time at WILX-TV, Giles honed her skills as an intern at Fox 9 KMSP Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Giles holds a Master's degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Maryland, where she contributed as a writer for The Black Explosion and Stories Beneath the Shell. Before that, Giles earned her Bachelor's degree in English and Communication Studies from Gustavus Adolphus College.
During her undergraduate years, Giles was actively involved in campus life—running track and field, serving as the Pan Afrikan Student Organization historian, playing clarinet in the Gustavus Wind Symphony, working as a campus tour guide, and writing for The Gustavian Weekly.
