Courtney Fischer announced in her post-ABC13 KTRK Houston life that she is the new Chief of Communications for incoming Harris County District Attorney Sean Teare.
Here is what the former KTRK morning reporter posted today on New Year's Eve Day afternoon:
"I have interviewed this man many, many times over the past decade. Now, I’m working for him. Wow.
At 12:01 a.m. on January 1, Sean Teare will be sworn in as the new Harris County District Attorney.
Then his First Assistant.
Then, Chief of Staff.
Then, myself.
I’m not sure I ever thought I’d get out of news. But I could not be more proud or more energized to start 2025 as the new Chief of Communications for the Harris County District Attorney's Office.
Sean has always believed in transparency, fairness and efficiency. New era. I can’t wait. Let’s go."
As broke the news before, Fischer left her Channel 13 reporting role and TV news in early December.
Fischer fans will know that as the Hulu true-crime series "Unsolved" host and producer, she has covered law enforcement issues for many years.
Before joining ABC13, the Emmy-winning reporter and DePauw University grad worked for Pittsburgh's Action News 4 WTAE. She also reported for WLEX in Lexington, Kentucky, and WEHT in Evansville, Indiana.
