As temperatures are predicted to drop this weekend, Telemundo Houston lead meteorologist Carlos Robles is on the rise as he is promoted to the station's chief meteorologist title.
More from an internal KTMD memo written by Vice President of News Jerry Vazquez obtained by mikemcguff.com:
I am pleased to announce the promotion of Carlos Robles to Chief Meteorologist for Telemundo Houston.
These past three years, Carlos has led our “Autoridad en el Tiempo” local weather coverage, elevating KTMD’s multi-platform weather content and enhancing our weather storytelling with augmented reality graphics. His passion for excellence is recognized by his peers and his efforts have been highlighted across the NBCU station group.
Please join me in congratulating Carlos on his promotion to Chief Meteorologist.
Prior to joining Telemundo Houston in 2016, Robles worked as a Meteorologist for Univision 45 Houston KXLN for nine years. Before Houston, Robles worked as a Weather Anchor for Univision Puerto Rico WLII from 2003 to 2007.
