Josh Innes moves to mornings on SportsTalk 790; other moves
Lance Zierlein to leave KBME's morning sports talk show
Lance Zierlein, one of the stalwarts of Houston sports radio for 20 years, said Tuesday he has elected not to sign a new contract with KBME (790 AM) and will leave the station later this year to focus on duties with NFL.com and other future projects.
SportsTalk 790 To Undergo Drive Time Changes
With Zierlein leaving, Barrett Sports Media has learned that 790 plans to move Josh Innes into morning drive. The change isn’t expected to occur until the summer, just in time for football season.
Lance Zierlein Declines Contract Option at 790, Leaves Morning Show
For those who follow sports radio, Zierlein's decision to decline his contract option is not a shock. Not only had he said he was going to do it sometime ago, but his analysis of the NFL draft has grown in recent months with his work on NFL.com. In his statement on social media, he admits as much and says he is open to new opportunities that fit with his NFL focus.
