Two Houston broadcasters have released new books.
First, Dayna Steele's (formerly of Rock 101 KLOL) latest book chronicles her mother's fight with Alzheimer's:
With unfiltered observations and sometimes dark humor, author Dayna Steele chronicled her mother's journey with Alzheimer's on Facebook.
This collection of Alzheimer's updates posted on the social media network includes biting humor and raw emotion as Dayna carries you from the diagnosis to the inevitable end.
Also included are sections from a neurologist, Long Term Care insurance specialist, other caregivers, documents expert, elder care attorney, and an assisted living advisor.
This is a journey way too many of us are going to experience in one way or another. If you have to experience Alzheimer's and chances are you will - do it like Dayna with love, wit, and wine
Even while covering the presidential primaries for KTRK abc13, anchor Tom Abrahams has not ignored his literary side.
The book quickly reached #1 in the genre. It was named an “All-Star” for January, which means it was among the top 100 read Amazon exclusive titles (among millions) for the month. Abrahams is ranked among the top science-fiction authors on all of Amazon.
That type of success brought Abrahams several opportunities. For one he has a new audiobook available. He also just signed a deal with a German publisher for the rights to translate the book and sell it in ebook and paperback form.
The sequel is out is March. It’s been available for pre-order and is already on the best-seller list a month before its launch. The third book is the series is out in June/July.
But that's not all! A paperback version of his Texas-based political thriller HIDDEN ALLEGIANCE comes out in May. And he has another conspiracy-based thriller out in late summer in both ebook and paperback forms.
