When I heard KHOU 11 anchor Lisa Hernandez had a big announcement Monday night, I wondered what the heck it could be? So I went right to social media to ask others for their opinions.

Ken Hoffman tweeted back with a question, "She's going on America's Got Talent?"

I loved @brianharter's idea that "She signed to star in a new reality show 'Real Housewives of Harris County.'"

Then I wondered if she was about to pull an infamous Marlene McClinton resignation on air.

OK, no one believes any of that. I'm pretty sure everyone was thinking pregnancy or she was moving on (but no station would probably promote that fact).

In July 2013, I blogged that Hernandez got engaged to Houston Rockets director of broadcasting/radio announcer Joel Blank while the Goo Goo Dolls played acoustically.

The two were married last September.

You know how the old child's playground song goes...

First comes love,
then comes marriage,
then comes the anchor on TV and social media promoting a baby carriage!

The couple is expecting the baby in August.

We've been through these Houston TV baby waves over and over again.
