Last week, we explored the state of community papers in Houston. Today, we turn our attention to the major news media outlets in town, to consider the state of local news coverage in Greater Houston. We’ll welcome your questions for George Haj, senior editor at the Houston Chronicle, Houston media blogger Mike McGuff, and former KTRH reporter and assistant news director Joe Householder. We’ll talk about the state of newsrooms in town, how technology, social media, and changing viewing, listening and reading habits have impacted the industry, and we’ll welcome your suggestions for the types of coverage Houston’s media does well, as well as the stories local news media may miss.
