Ken Molestina joins CBS 11 KTVT from WUSA

News anchor and reporter Ken Molestina will join CBS 11 beginning Monday, Jan. 6, 2014.

“Ken is very talented and versatile,” said CBS 11 and TXA 21 President and General Manager Gary Schneider. “His experience in news gathering, reporting and anchoring is very solid. We think our viewers will make a strong connection with him.”

Molestina was most recently a reporter for WUSA-TV in Washington, D.C. Prior to that, he was a news anchor and reporter at KVIA-TV in El Paso, Texas. During his time there, he also gained experience as a first responder while serving as a volunteer firefighter for the West Valley Fire Department in El Paso County.

A graduate of the University of Florida, Molestina began his career as an intern at WFOR-TV in Miami. He has also worked as a news anchor and reporter at television and radio stations in Gainesville, Fla. He currently serves on the board of directors of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
