The station reports "Voices of the Game with Newy Scruggs" premiers around the country Monday, April 1st, on NBC Sports Radio which I didn't know even existed.
"I am excited to bring NBC Sports Radio listeners and my North Texas fans into daily conversations with some of the most honest, opinionated and in-the-know people in American sports," Scruggs said on nbcdfw.com. "I want our listeners to feel like they are sitting at their favorite watering hole getting the inside scoop on the biggest topics and sports opinions of the day."
The show will air 11am to 2pm Monday through Friday from Dallas. As for NBC Sports Radio, it will launch 24/7 talk programming lineup on April 1, 2013, can currently be heard at nbcsportsradio.com.
KXAS teases that Scruggs will be joined every day by a "renowned and recognizable sports voice” during the second hour of the show.
Smart move on Scruggs part. Let's face it, the more you can do as a sports anchor, the better off it is for your career these days.
