KTRK abc13's Miya Shay& Gene Wu delivers baby
Miya Shay probably shocked some party guests at husband's Gene Wu's 35th birthday party last weekend. The KTRK abc13 reporter announced her pregnancy to the 25 or so party guests participating in a casual family style meal at China Garden in downtown Houston.
The news went on to dominate Facebook news feeds of Houston TV folks all weekend.
Shay and Wu are expecting their bundle of joy in late September. To make the announcement, they held up a custom onesie that said "Future Voter." Under that it said "Eligible September 2031" which would be the date the baby would be 18 years old.
For those of you who do not know, Wu is the State Representative for the Texas Legislature, House District 137 hence the voting reference.
Congrats to the couple.
