Bob Neumann has been named Program Director for Mix 96-5, it was announced today by Mark Adams, Vice President of Programming for CBS RADIO Houston. The appointment is effective on Monday, May 14.
Neumann, a veteran programmer, most recently served as Program Director of WSJT, CBS RADIO’s Hot AC station in Tampa, Fla. He has extensive programming experience with the Hot AC format, as well as Alternative and Active Rock stations including WRMF-FM in West Palm Beach, Fla, WWDC-FM in Washington, D.C. and WMMS-FM in Cleveland, Ohio.
“Our Mix team and I had a great time meeting with Bob in Houston. His energy and enthusiasm are contagious. He brought a great collection of programming, promotion, and marketing ideas for the station with him and offered a number of compelling insights about the station and market,” said Adams. “Bob understands and loves the Hot AC format, is an effective talent coach, and has the drive to win. We have a great group of stations and the addition of Bob strengthens not only Mix but our entire CBS Houston team. We’re excited for him to get started.”
Benjamin Hill, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, CBS RADIO Tampa, adds, “I have long been a fan of Bob’s talent and am happy to see him assume increased responsibility with our company.”
Neumann, a native of Syracuse, N.Y., will be moving to Houston with his wife Robin. They have one daughter, Allison, who lives in Hilton Head Island, S.C.
CBS RADIO currently owns six radio stations in the Houston market, including 100.3 KILT-FM, HOT 95-7 KKHH-FM, Mix 96-5 KHMX FM, Mega 101 FM KLOL, SportsRadio 610 AM and Talk 650 KIKK-AM.
