Shelby Hodge of Culturemap is back with an update on the couple's upcoming wedding:

Yes, Dominique and Nick Florescu will tie the knot in mid-May in Houston, having abandoned the early romantic idea of a wedding in Rome. ( Too many complications with family, children and orchestrating the perfect across-the-Atlantic nuptials.)
They will be wed in a private ceremony, family and intimate friends only, in the Memorial area home of John and Becca Cason Thrash. READ THE REST
Hodge has more details on the ceremony including the DiSanto gown Sachse will be wearing.

I don't know how popular you think she is, but I for one am sick of seeing these pictures of Phyllis Diller and her Grandpa.
ReplyDeleteHope they gave a great one! The naysayers can shut up!
ReplyDeleteThis is crazy. I know she likes to think of herself as royalty, but really, most people I know find her as nothing more than a vain, status seeking social climber who reads news poorly. Why is she even permitted to have a forum like this to shamelessly self promote her ego?
ReplyDeleteMy grandma used to say, "never steal someone's joy"! Bad karma!
ReplyDeleteMy Grandpa used to say "Stay away from fast and loose women, and marry for love not money."
DeleteInstead of a link to the shameless Culture Map, you should link to the Houston Chronicle:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.chron.com/life/article/The-back-story-Dominique-Sachse-and-Nick-Florescu-2755480.php
This way, readers can see the overwhelming anti-Sachse feelings this city has. Perhaps that will finally keep the local media from taking her money and shoving her PR spin down our throats?
She appears to be getting her karma at that site, and in mega doses at that.
DeleteGee Mike. I enjoy coming to your website, but I fear you are looking more and more like Dominique's press agent.
ReplyDeleteTruth to tell, Dominique could hold a meeting of her fan club in a phone booth.*
*For those under the age of 25, phone booths were small booths about the size of a refrigerator where the phone company would place its public pay phones. The booths allowed some privacy for people making calls.
Dominique is traffic gold. I posted this Friday at 5pm which is normally a dead zone for blogs and news sites online. This site was instantly the number one traffic getting post - even at that time!
DeleteThe chronicle and culturemap are even bigger press agents than I am and they are actual respected outlets!
She may be traffic gold, but the comments suggest most visit the websites to air their anti-Sachse opinions.
DeleteOust Dominique Sachse!
ReplyDeleteI am curious how the hometown paper to the nation's 4th largest city saw fit to run this story at all, much less as the lead online item for two days. How much did she pay the Chron for her endless self promotion?
ReplyDeleteAnd then, for another two days, the Chron had a "Dominique Sachse wedding" tab on the news page. (I instead clicked on the "Free cat neutering" tab that was next to her name...a far more newsworthy and interesting topic than her holiness seeking undeserved adoration.)
Now, the tab at Chron.com just reads "TV anchor's wedding". I wonder if Houston's #1 narcissist asked for that name change due to the anti-Sachse comments, or if she's just now old news on Chron.com just as she's old, old, old, old news everywhere else in Houston.
I love seeing her. She's beautiful and smart. I love seeing her wardrobe outfits. Not excluding the beautiful jewelry.
ReplyDeleteI think she has it all together. She makes the News with her co-anchors. Good Luck on your new endevaors.
Gee Mike..there were 13 comments...not exactly Gold
ReplyDeleteDominique is super smart, good looking, sharp and witty and has more fans than the stupid people that comment negitively about her. Happy Wedding day hope you two have many super years togeather.
ReplyDeleteHate her or not, you're still talking about her. That speaks volumes.
