Monday morning on NPR's Morning Edition, there was a story about the new Comedy Central show called The Onion SportsDome. Sounds funny.
Yes, The Onion in the title is actually The Onion satirical news group. And if you know anything about The Onion, you will guess this is a show, not so much about teams and games, but about parodying ESPN and the overall sports media culture.
Turns out there is a small Houston connection to this new show. I've been bringing you news about Matt Oberg's acting career for years. You could say I am his biggest fan in Houston. Well, only that I am really the second. His biggest Houston fan is his brother, KTRK 13 reporter Ted Oberg. I figured Matt's last name might give that link away ahead of time.
