VIDEO: A young TV journalist's guide to first jobs

Young journalists need to shoot for the stars. Don't demand anything less than a mid to large market. And always try to start as a TV anchor. This is the way the business works. And oh yeah...ask the news director for 9am to 6pm weekday hours. The ND will respect your honesty on the work hours you need to keep a healthy work/life balance.

(Thanks Carol)
