Fake KPRC 2 Twitter account takes Houston news to the extreme

It's become common for people to make fake Twitter accounts for real companies or people. They are usually parody accounts. You might have heard about a fake account set up for BP's PR team during the Gulf oil spill.

But now the Houston media has a fake one!

That's right, there really is an @local2breaking account for KPRC 2. And now there is an @local2faking one. Local2faking's bio reads, "MY CAPS LOCK KEY IS BROKEN, WHAT'S YOUR EXCUSE?" At the time of this writing the account has 76 followers. No word who is behind it.

I don't really follow what the actual @local2breaking account sends out (in full disclosure, I consulted KPRC on Facebook pages, but not its Twitter accounts), but from what I am told there has been some all caps tweets (TV people write news scripts in all caps and often forget to turn the lock off) and other unusual social media behavior. So local2faking takes that to the extreme.

Recent tweets include:
READY TO TAKE A BATH AND READ A BOOK. - and - DON'T HAVE MONEY FOR CHRISTMAS PRESENTS FOR FAMILY THIS YEAR? KILL THE BASTARDS.

Those two examples are the tweets from local2faking that aren't too offensive or racist for me to post here. We will have to see how the station handles the fake Twitter account. Will it be ignored or will a cease and desist letter be sent in 140 characters or less?
