88.7 KUHF gets David Pitman as new Morning Edition host

I listen to NPR's Morning Edition on 88.7 KUHF every morning and I noticed a new voice. KUHF wrote an announcment about new host David Pitman on its Web site:

David comes to us from WMFE in Orlando, where he also hosted Morning Edition. No worries - KUHF’s Jim Bell isn't going far – he’ll soon be the new host of the KUHF mid-day news block – The Diane Rehm Show, Fresh Air with Terry Gross, BBC World Have Your Say, and Talk of the Nation – on KUHF HD Channel 2 and our Internet radio station KUHF News – your 24/7 source for public radio news and information. If you hit Google, you can learn that Pitman is a North Texas native:

David is a Dallas-area native who earned a BA in Broadcast Communication from the University of Texas at Arlington. He got his start in top-40 radio, before moving onto news and talk stations such as KRLD and WBAP. He took a break from radio for a couple of years to be an Associate Producer at the Dallas FOX television affiliate -- churning out soul-deadening stories for anchors to read about random acts of crime and animals caught in precarious situations on video. On another note, it is interesting how KUHF is devoting Jim Bell to work on the station's HD2 signal. As one of the five people who own an HD radio in Houston, I love listening to KUHF's HD2 station to get the NPR and BBC shows the main station does not play. It was a killer a couple of weeks ago when the station took down the signal for maintenance. On another note, notice that the station is now starting to play BBC on HD3 instead of the Spanish speaker targeted programming?
