Twitter this week responded to mounting complaints from irate celebrities with the launch of a beta version of Verified Account, a feature aimed at keeping celebrities accounts legit--or, in the case of MC Hammer, too legit.
Now said celebrities (a rather loosely defined category, seeing as how that Mashable guy is considered one) can sport a Verified Account button on their blog. READ THE REST
