The Weather Channel's Jennifer Lopez replaces Rebecca Miller at NBC 5 KXAS Dallas-Fort Worth

NBC5 KXAS sent out the news. Former meteorologist Rebecca Miller is
being replaced
by The Weather Channel's Jennifer Lopez (not the
singer) in Dallas-Fort Worth:

"DALLAS and FORT WORTH, Texas, April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- NBC 5 lands
nationally recognized meteorologist Jennifer Lopez as the latest
addition to North Texas' top team of meteorologists. Lopez, a network
meteorologist on The Weather Channel (R) since 2000, will forecast and
present the weather during NBC 5 News from 5 - 7AM, Monday through
Friday, beginning June 16, 2008.

Lopez was hired after a nationwide search and comes to NBC 5 with the
depth of network level weather forecasting experience earned at The
Weather Channel(R) and elsewhere. Previously, Lopez worked as a
weekend meteorologist at WTLV-TV in Jacksonville, FL, and as a weather
producer and weekend meteorologist at WPTV-TV in West Palm Beach, FL.

Lopez, a native of St. Augustine, FL, earned a bachelor's degree in
telecommunications from the University of Florida and a bachelor's
degree in meteorology from Florida State University. She is a member
of the American Meteorological Society and holds the AMS Television
Seal of Approval.

David Finfrock, NBC 5's Chief Meteorologist, says, "Jennifer is a
terrific addition to the team, which also includes Steve MacLaughlin
and James Aydelott. Her experience, first in her home state of
Florida, and then with national forecasting and reporting at The
Weather Channel(R), makes Jennifer the perfect choice for forecasting
North Texas' varied weather."

North Texas, and Tarrant County in particular, is a destination for
Jennifer for personal reasons. Her husband, a Southwest Airlines
pilot, is currently on military leave in charge of relocating a Navy
DC-9 squadron from Atlanta to Fort Worth. The couple has two
daughters. NBC 5/KXAS-TV is the NBC Owned and Operated media center
serving the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex."
