PICS: The last days of River Oaks Shopping Center

I went down to the North side of the River Oaks Shopping Center to take pictures of the old buildings. Houstonist reported that people are still trying to fight the demolition.

Looks like things are already starting to happen.

It's called progress people. A new store is better than old crap. Get use to it. It's coming in a major way!

As of Thursday, it has been quiet over there from what I understand.

Constant change is not the same as progress. Just because it's shiny and new doesn't mean it's better. This is the opposite of progress. These things are part of the area's culture and spirit, and that'll be set back more than a couple steps by getting rid of them.
