As widely reported, Axl says the alleged Chinese Democracy album is coming out by the end of this year. That's right, 2006. With the upcoming tour, I somehow believe it. Call me naive.

Well according to a Guns N' Roses fan site, Axl Rose has decided to finally release Chinese Democracy which has been more than 10 years in the making. It could be March. One of many release dates. But the source makes this rumor more believable.
The source for this was strangely enough former Gunner guitarist (now of Velvet Revolver) Slash. For those of you who do not follow this. Slash and Axl do not get along supposedly.
I was at the Velvet Revolver bus at Houston's Verizon Wireless theater in June 2004. I turned to my friend who was with me and asked him something about Chinese Democracy. A roadie guy next to Slash heard me and said something like, "Chinese Democracy? That album will never come out (nervous laugh)."
He might have said that because Slash, Duff McKagan and Axl are all in legal battles now. It's not so friendly between the old bandmates and don't expect a reunion tour of the original players anytime soon.
