Both nights Axl threw a microphone into the crowd which stunned the crowd.
The Review-Journal critic, Jason Bracelin, did not give a very flattering review. Here could be the best part:
Taking the stage in sunglasses, jeans and a white T-shirt that declared him an "Assassin of Youth," Rose was a commanding presence from the start, spinning himself in circles with arms outstretched as he sang, holding the mic stand above his head triumphantly, like a prizefighter who had just KO'd some stubborn foe.Heavily mining GN'R's debut, "Appetite For Destruction," the band worked itself into a lather on an opening suite full of gritty, hardscrabble urban blues -- songs like "Welcome to the Jungle," "It's So Easy" and "Mr. Brownstone" -- mean tunes about living hard in the hard part of town, which often sound as if they're sung through clenched teeth.

I'd say that Axl Rose was happier for the Saturday show. On Sunday he seemed a little angrier. But what a place to see a show. The Joint is the hotel's club and it only holds around 1,400. That's a nice size to see GNR. Especially considering the band just came from Europe where they were playing to massive crowds at festivals.
As I mentioned before, I was disappointed they skipped the song Chinese Democracy both nights. That is a great song. Watch Axl drop the whole concept and name of the upcoming album. I have to keep wondering, is that why he didn't play it? But at least I got to witness Rocket Queen live. Click here for Saturday playlist.
As widely reported, Axl says the alleged Chinese Democracy album is coming out by the end of this year. That's right, 2006. With the upcoming tour, I somehow believe it.
