Diana Gomez leaves KFOX14 Morning News El Paso

Diana Gomez left her KFOX14 Morning News El Paso Traffic Reporter and Multimedia Journalist position in September 2025.

Here is what Gomez posted on social at the time of her departure:

"I started at the station more than 7 years ago as a production assistant, and never imagined how much I would grow and where this journey would take me.

Moving into the role of a traffic reporter/multimedia journalist has been such a special opportunity, one that I love and allowed me to connect with our community in a way I’ll always cherish.

I’m grateful for YOU, our amazing viewers, for welcoming me into your homes each day. Your support has meant the world to me.

I can’t thank our morning team/work family enough for the fun adventures , waking up at 2 a.m. isn’t easy, but knowing my day would start and end with such an incredible group of people always made it a great one."

She also hosted a weekly segment called "What's Driving You Crazy?" in which she highlighted viewers' concerns and questions about our roadways every Thursday morning.

Gomez joined the KFOX14 News team in 2018 as a production assistant, working across multiple departments. Her favorite was assisting the traffic team however she could.

Born and raised in the Sun City of El Paso, Texas, Gomez graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with a bachelor's degree in Multimedia Journalism and a minor in Sociology. She also received her associate's degree in Communications from El Paso Community College.
