Brittany Rainey leaves CBS News Texas

Brittany Rainey, who, let's face it, has the best name for a meteorologist, announced she is leaving CBS News Texas KTVT Dallas-Fort Worth, where she has been since 2021.

Michael Autovino returns as morning meteorologist.

Here is what Rainey posted on social:

"My last day on air with CBS News Texas is this Friday. North Texas, I can’t thank you enough for welcoming me into your homes.

The bubbzies and I have loved the past 4 years here, exploring the trails, glamping, forecasting severe storms and ice storms, and taking in all the cool activities with Where’s Brittany.

Lonestar stole all of our hearts as he grew into an amazing service dog, with a wonderful handler. But now the boys and I are starting a new chapter. I hope you tune in for my last week. Tomorrow is my last 5-8am morning. Then I will be on the 11a & 4p to finish out the week "

Rainey previously worked for FOX 13 WTVT Tampa till around the end of 2020.
