Emilio Ramos joined Telemundo 39 KXTX Dallas-Fort Worth as a multimedia journalist in October 2025.
"Back in north Texas, embarking on a new professional stage in the place that was my first home at Telemundo.," Ramos posted. "I am grateful and excited for the new opportunities and challenges, with the same energy as always, now at Telemundo 39 - NBC 5."
Ramos previously worked as a video journalist at Telemundo 31 Orlando WTMO. There, he was a reporter and producer of special programs and documentaries. Much of his coverage also focused on Puerto Rico for Puerto Rican communities in the United States, interviewing governors and politicians on the island.
Before this, he worked as a video journalist in North Texas, between 2017 and 2021, for Telemundo 39.
He previously worked as an assignment editor for CBS Minnesota WCCO and a multimedia journalist for Univision Orlando WVEN.
Ramos's journalistic experience also includes successful special reports for which he has earned 10 Emmy Awards, a National Emmy nomination for the climate change documentary, "Our Planet: Voices of Climate Change." He also has recognition as a finalist at the Columbia University Journalism Academy in New York City for the prestigious DuPont Award.
Born in Puerto Rico, Ramos earned a bachelor's degree in journalism and television production from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
