Cam Sanderson has been named the weekend sports anchor for KFDM 6 and FOX 4 Beaumont, following a two-year tenure with the Sinclair Broadcast Group as a videographer.
"For people that know me, they know this is something I’ve dreamed of doing since I was little," Sanderson posted. "I’ve always wanted to start my career at KFDM and I am beyond blessed to finally get that opportunity to get things going. I promise Southeast Texas that I’m going to do everything in my power to give you the best coverage of sports in the 409 that I can. I can’t wait to get started!"
Sanderson takes over for Kierstin Lindkvist, who recently left for a new job.
In addition to his professional work, Sanderson has served as a part-time sports anchor for Lamar University since October 2022, where he is currently a student. As an on-air personality for LUTV’s sports programming, he contributes to game coverage, sports commentary, and analysis.
He is a graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School, where he earned his diploma in May 2022.
