Casey Stegall returns to FOX 4 KDFW

Casey Stegall has returned to FOX 4 KDFW Dallas-Fort Worth as a weekend evening anchor after working as a Fox News Senior News Correspondent for 17 years first based out of Los Angeles and then DFW.

Here is what Stegall posted on social:

"I’m baaaaaaack! Happy to announce that I’ve rejoined the Fox 4 family… I’m the newly minted weekend evening anchor & will also be reporting a few days a week. Looking forward to this new role & so grateful to remain on the airwaves across the DFW Metroplex!"

So, what happened to FOX 4 weekend anchor Blake Hanson? He posted on X that he would stay with the North Texas station but work in a new role. His X bio now says FOX 4, executive producer, and anchor.  Hanson has been with KDFW since July 2017.

Stegall left Fox News in May 2024. Brooke Taylor joined Fox News a few months later as a  Dallas-based correspondent.

It's a FOX 4 homecoming for Stegall, who, before joining Fox News, was a morning reporter for KDFW from 2005 to 2007.

Before that, Stegall worked at KVUE Austin from 2004 to 2005, covering the city hall beat and general assignments for the evening newscasts. His investigative reporting earned him an Edward R. Murrow Award for exposing a controversial high school football coach’s teaching methods. He was also the backup anchor on weekend and morning programs.

From 2000 to 2004, Stegall began his career at WTVW Evansville, Indiana, where he started as an intern and quickly transitioned to a full-time reporting role before graduating college.

A graduate of Ball State University, Casey earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Telecommunications with an emphasis on Broadcast Journalism and Television News, graduating Cum Laude in 2001.
