Brianna Perez is leaving her KVIA ABC-7 El Paso anchor job to join KVUE Austin as a reporter/MSJ in February 2025 mikemcguff.com has learned.

Here is what Perez posted on social:
"Dear El Paso, thank you.
Thank you for allowing me into your home, thank you for trusting me and giving me the opportunity to tell your stories.
These past 3 years at KVIA have helped me learn so much, not just about our community, but about myself as well. From starting as an intern to a reporter and eventually a weekend evening anchor, I have definitely been challenged in ways I never imagined.
I’m forever grateful for all the amazing people I have been able to meet along the way. I’ve created bonds that will last me a lifetime.
The 915 will forever be my home. For now, it’s time to accomplish a new set of goals and growth in my career."
Perez joined the KVIA as a reporter in 2021. In June 2024, she left her weekend morning anchor to anchor weekend evenings.
The University of Texas at El Paso and Parkland High School grad interned for KVIA. As an intern, she got the chance to do live TV for the first time during a Humane Society telethon.
