Spectrum News 1 will air a half-hour special exploring the complex issue of mental health in youth and among adult men and women, and also features conversations with special guests including Sesame Street Muppet Rosita. “The State of Mental Health in America,” hosted by Spectrum News National Mental Health Correspondent Dr. Nicole Cross, airs on May 29 at 9 p.m. local time.
“The State of Mental Health in America” will examine topics including the emotional well-being of youth, mental health issues experienced by women, what it’s like living with someone living with mental illness, and how barbershops are meeting the mental health needs of men where they are. Dr. Cross focuses on solutions through personal stories from those affected by mental health along with industry experts to gain a better understanding of the state of mental health among Americans.
“The State of Mental Health in America” will air on Spectrum News 1 on channel 1, and on the Spectrum News App available on mobile, Xumo Stream Box, and Roku and Apple devices.
