Demond Fernandez is leaving WFAA 8 Dallas - Fort Worth where he is an investigative reporter/fill-in anchor for an anchor position with WDIV Local 4 News Detroit.

Fernandez joined WFAA all the way back in 2014 from abc13 KTRK Houston.
Not only is he a familiar face in Texas TV for working in both the Metroplex and Houston, but Fernandez also reported for News 4 San Antonio WOAI before that.
Fernandez previously worked for WEYI Newscenter 25 in Flint, Michigan, as a weekend anchor, crime reporter, “On Your Side” investigator and “Consumer Watchdog.”
The University of Maryland at College Park grad got his start in the TV biz with Fox 47 News WSYM Lansing, Michigan as a general assignment reporter.
