Jose Gant, the WFAA 8 DFW assistant sports director, who has been with the Dallas TV station for 43 years, is retiring.
After covering the 1978 Super Bowl, where the Dallas Cowboys beat the Denver Broncos, for his first station KTBC 3 Shreveport, Louisiana, Gant met WFAA staffers and ended up getting a job with the legendary station as an editor in 1980.
The rest as they say is history.
