Tanvi Varma joined KVUE Austin as an investigative reporter from KRGV 5 in the Rio Grande Valley in early 2022.

Tanvi Varma posts on Twitter that she is leaving for California to "focus on my mental health."

After years of trying to focus on my career, I’ve decided to choose myself. I’m more than my work. I’m human.
"I’m excited to share that I’ve started working as an investigative journalist at a station that is committed to making the world a better place," Varma tweeted when she was hired at KVUE in February 2022.
Varma joined KRGV as a reporter in 2020 and was there for two years.
The University of Southern California grad interned with 810AM KGO San Francisco, ABC7 KABC Los Angeles and NBC News.
While a student, Varma worked for USC's Annenberg TV News.
