Daniela Hurtado is joining abc13 KTRK from ABC7 WWSB Sarasota, Florida where she was a reporter.

Here is what Hurtado posted to Facebook:

"Howdy Houston!!! I’m super excited to finally share that next month I’ll be moving to the Lone Star state as a journalist for ABC13 (KTRK) in one of the largest cities in the country— Houston!

Blessed beyond belief and SO ready to hit the ground running. Appreciative of every road and experience that has led me here.

Grateful to my awesome family and friends for the constant support and encouragement. Can’t wait to work alongside some of the most amazing and hardworking journalists!! LETS DO THIS AMIGOS!!"

Hurtado joined WWSB in January 2020.

Before that, she worked for KFYR 5 Bismarck, North Dakota.

The 2017 University of Florida graduate was born in Venezuela, but grew up in Miami. While in school, Hurtado worked in various roles for WUFT 5 and 89.1/90.1 FM, the public media stations owned by UF.

Before UF, Hurtado earned an associate's degree from Miami Dade College where she was editor-in-chief of student newspaper The Reporter.
