Samuel King leaves KSAT San Antonio

Samuel King leaves his KSAT San Antonio evening traffic anchor/transportation reporter role to join MPR News (Minnesota Public Radio) as weekend editor.

"I'm heading back to the Twin Cities to be the weekend editor at MPR News, one of the nation's leading public media operations," King posted on Facebook.  "I'll be overseeing the news product on Saturday and Sunday. I've been interested in that sort of role over the years, so this is a natural transition."

King joined KSAT 12 in December 2020 from 90.5 KUT Radio, Austin's NPR Station where he was the transportation reporter.

He arrived just as San Antonio Police Department Officer Marcus Trujillo left KSAT after 14 years to focus on his law enforcement job and his family.
