Texas TV staffers fired over vaccine policy

Scott Jones at FTV Live has been reporting on Gray Television apparently firing Texas TV station employees over COVID vaccinations.

He first reported about KXII Sherman evening anchor Dan Thomas who recorded a Facebook video saying he was fired because his doctor told him not to take the vaccine due to his medical history. Newsweek and others picked up the story too.

Later, Jones and the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, both reported that six employees of Gray's KCBD Lubbock were terminated for violating the company's COVID-10 vaccination policies.  Staffers fired ranged from the vice president/general manager to account executives.

“I can tell you they are no longer with the station. KCBD (GrayTV) does not comment on personnel matters," the company said in a statement to the Avalanche-Journal.

UPDATE

Barbara Campos posted a video that she was fired from KGNS Laredo.
