Alyssa Meisner leaves CBS4 KDBC El Paso


Alyssa Meisner has left her morning/noon anchor spot at leaves CBS4 KDBC EL Paso and joins WAND Champaign-Springfield-Decatur as a weekday anchor/reporter. .

Here is what Meisner tweeted.

"It’s been an amazing 3 years in El Paso. I’ve learned so much during my time in the Borderland, and had the opportunity to learn from some incredible journalists. Thank you El Paso for welcoming me with open arms. It’s been an honor to report on this beautiful community in the good times and the bad. Thank you to those who welcomed me into your home each morning and afternoon- and those who allowed me to tell their stories."

In the meantime, Meisner married former KVIA El Paso Nick Patrick who now works mornings for NewsChannel 20 and Fox Illinois WICS.

Now Meisner has changed her twitter handle to Alyssa Patrick and will be working in the same TV market as her husband.

"I’m so excited to announce that in 2 short weeks I’ll be joining WAND-TV (Decatur, Illinois) ," Patrick tweeted. "I’m honored to be joining a newsroom with such a legacy. My husband and I are blessed to be surrounded by his family here in central Illinois. I look forward to making this my home as well!"

The newlyweds met at WXXV Gulfport, Mississippi. 

The Syracuse University grad got her start at WXXV as a news anchor/reporter/producer and then moved to WOWK Charleston, West Virginia before El Paso. 

CBS4 meteorologist Amanda Guillen moves down the desk to anchor in Meisner's morning spot on KDBC.
