Karina Segovia

Karina Segovia is leaving Telemundo Houston KTMD and is heading to sister-station Telemundo 40 Rio Grande Valley KTLM.

The meteorologist joins anchor Denisse Salinas on Noticias Telemundo 40 for the Monday through Friday 11am newscast.

“Segovia is a very well-known on-air personality in the Rio Grande Valley," KTLM news director Iris Rodriguez said in a release.  "Her detailed forecasts will greatly benefit our viewers. With Karina, our ability to deliver important meteorological information gets stronger, and so does our weather authority team, which is committed to informing our viewers about severe weather changes.”

Before joining Telemundo Houston earlier in 2021, Segovia worked as a weather anchor at KNVO McAllen, Texas for two years.

After receiving a journalism degree from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, Segovia earned a meteorological degree from Mississippi State University.
